90% of patients affected by cystic fibrosis develop pancreatic insufficiency, for which there is an altered absorption of fat due to the lack of secretion of pancreatic lipases. Such condition directly and significantly affects the nutritional status of patients, who develop steatorrhea, difficulties in growth and in maintaining the normal physiological function of the organism. The use of EFFECI OIL® due to the characteristics of absorption and metabolism is immediately available as a source of energy that can be used to ensure the proper sustenance of the organism. Medium chain triglycerides (MCTs) are absorbed, digested and used in a completely different way and maximized compared to long chain triglycerides (LCT). Due to their low molecular weight, they can be absorbed even without the preliminary lipolysis and subsequent intervention of bile acids, being able to be absorbed as triglycerides and thus penetrate as such into enterocytes where they are subjected to the action of an intracellular lipase and transformed into glycerol and fatty acids. These medium chain fatty acids, due to their low molecular weight, are absorbed more quickly at the level of the enteric mucosa than those with long chains. These fatty acids are not re-esterified in enterocytes (such as long-chain ones) to triglycerides and significantly incorporated into chylomicrons. They leave the intestine not via the lymphatic system but via the venous route entering the portal vein circle to be sent to the liver (where they arrive faster than LCT). Here they are not incorporated into liver lipids but remain ready and available as an energy source for the various metabolic needs of the organism.
Furthermore, it has been shown that EFFECI OIL® acts as an antioxidant, reducing the damage associated with inflammatory processes typical of the disease and normalizing the carbohydrate structure, this being useful in the case in which pancreatic insufficiency extends to the endocrine portion of the pancreas generating diabetes.
EFFECI OIL® is a product with a specific formulation indicated for the nutritional needs of patients with pancreatic insufficiency from cystic fibrosis.
EFFECI OIL® is indicated as a replacement source of fats, given its ease of absorption and immediate energy yield.
The use of EFFECI OIL® improves the absorption of minerals and fat-soluble vitamins, essential for the growth, development and proper functioning of the organism.
EFFECI OIL® is presented in a 750 ml bottle
EFFECI OIL® cannot be used as the sole source of nutrition.
EFFECIOIL® is a product containing medium chain triglycerides (MCT) obtained from 100% natural coconut oil, indicated for the nutritional treatment of patients with pancreatic insufficiency from cystic fibrosis. EFFECI OIL® is obtained through a physical extraction process, through which the chemical-physical and biological properties of the product are preserved, guaranteeing a better efficacy.

The average dose must be established by the prescriber doctor, as it is closely related to the age and weight of the patient. Preparation indications:
EFFECIOIL®, can be used as a substitute source of fat in the preparation, cooking and seasoning of foods.
The product must be used under medical supervision. It is indicated for the diet of patients with lipid malabsorption as in cystic fibrosis. It cannot be used as the unique source of nutrition. For oral use only, the product should not be administered parenterally. After use, carefully reseal. It must be introduced into the diet gradually, as rapid absorption of large amounts could cause vomiting or diarrhea. Suitable for infants, children and adults.
The production process is non-chemical in nature and involves a simple, albeit innovative, physical separation process, directly by molecular distillation of virgin coconut oil. It is therefore not necessary to worry about the absence of chemical residues. It is a 100% natural product, which has undergone only physical treatments. It is a non-reconstituted product derived from physical distillation processes that preserve the nature of the oil unchanged, substantially different from the analogous product obtained by the chemical combination of the constituents of triglycerides. Starting from coconut oil, the process involves the initial isolation of a medium chain triglyceride-enriched fraction through a first distillation. A second high-performance molecular distillation leads to obtaining the finished product.
